Water hygiene is one of the most efficient ways of convincing patients of the safety of their visit to the practice without having to advertise it as a matter of course, as required by law.

Target exactly the patients you want to reach. Make your commitment to water hygiene visible now to address your target patient group even more successfully!

Studies show enormous relevance of the topic of hygiene for patients

A 2018 joint study by Weisse Liste and the Bertelsmann Stiftung showed, based on a representative survey by Kantar Emnid, a country comparison study by the IGES Institute and a supplementary legal opinion, more than half of citizens want more transparency of important information when looking for a doctor. In this context, 90% of those surveyed wanted to receive information about hygiene in the practice, but stated that this need was not sufficiently met (1).

In fact, the desire for information on practice hygiene was met most unsatisfactorily of all the question items.

Patients felt least informed when it was a question of which examination equipment was available in the doctor's practice.

Hardly surprising, then, to place hygiene as the second most important factor in patients' decision-making for a practice. Other surveys show possible reasons for this pronounced need. For example, the Hessisches Ärzteblatt 2020 cited a survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) that patients in Germany are more afraid of hospital germs than of treatment errors. Specifically, more than 70 percent of the 1,000 respondents expressed concerns about poor hygiene and a resulting risk of infection (2).
