Dietzenbach, February 2025 – MORITA is pleased to present Adprep to the European market at IDS 2025. The new chairside air-abrasion device optimizes the adhesion and durability of dental restorations. Long-term studies document the superior bonding strength of adhesively placed crowns that are blasted with aluminum oxide powder before cementation.[1],[2] Adprep enhances this process with an adjustable blasting pressure precisely tailored to the restoration material, ensuring safe treatment and long-lasting dental prostheses.
Optimized Adhesion for Greater Safety and Longevity
Adprep from MORITA is a chairside air-abrasion device with an integrated pressure regulator for the precise adhesive preparation of dental restorations. It is suitable for indirect restorations such as crowns, bridges, onlays, and inlays, as well as for adhesive cementation and direct composite restorations. Thanks to the finely adjustable pressure regulator, the blasting pressure can be precisely matched to metal, zirconia ceramics, or plastic – a decisive advantage in comparison to conventional sandblasters. By extraorally blasting the bonding surfaces with aluminum oxide powder directly before placing the restoration, a micro-retentive surface is created that improves adhesion and reduces the risk of complications. Adprep optimizes the workflow and ensures the best conditions for long-lasting and safe restorations.
Adprep Brings Laboratory Quality Directly to the Treatment Chair
Marc Schwindt, Regional Sales Manager DACH at MORITA EUROPE, is excited: "With Adprep, we finally have a chairside solution for controllable and reproducible surface preparation – without compromise. The combination of targeted blasting technology and precise pressure control not only ensures initial retention but also the long-term stability of each restoration. The integrated pressure regulator makes all the difference: No more risk of over-blasting or insufficient adhesion – this means maximum safety for every restoration."
Indispensable for Re-Cementing Loose Bridges and Crowns
Adprep is not only used for new restorations but is also essential for re-cementing loose restorations. Targeted blasting removes contaminants and adhesive residues while roughening the surface to ensure a reliable bond.
Easy Handling – Specifically Designed for Dentistry
Compared to conventional sandblasters, Adprep was specifically developed for the requirements of modern dentistry. The blasting pressure can be easily and precisely adjusted, ensuring reliable application in daily practice. Its intuitive operation allows for a smooth workflow and seamless integration into existing treatment concepts. Adprep is connected directly to the air coupling of the treatment unit, enabling chairside blasting directly in the treatment room.
Unique Product Quality for Sustainable Results
With Adprep, dentists receive a state-of-the-art, reliable device that not only enhances the quality of restorations but also boosts patient confidence and satisfaction. To ensure optimal performance and the best results, the device should be operated exclusively with MORITA's aluminum oxide powder.
We look forward to presenting Adprep to you in person at IDS 2025!
