· Flexible Configurations for Greater Scalability: The CS 8200 3D’s Advance Edition is available in three FOV configurations, 8 x 9 cm, 12 x 10 cm and 16 x 10 cm, that can be easily upgraded so the system can grow with practice needs.
· Broadest Range of FOVs in its Category: With up to 11 FOVs, the system supports a wide range of clinical indications including implants, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, TMJ and airway analysis.
· High-Resolution Imaging: With a maximum resolution of 75 microns, the CS 8200 3D delivers high-precision scans, ideal for endodontic cases, while keeping file size at reasonable size for your IT.

Now, preparing data for implant cases—like merging CBCT volumes with digital impressions—designing virtual crowns and digitally placing implants is all handled automatically, making implant planning faster and easier. When combined with a prosthetic-driven approach, these software updates improve treatment predictability and give doctors the confidence to deliver precise and successful implant outcomes.
What’s Next: Expanded Access to New Intraoral Scanners and the Straumann Digital Ecosystem
Carestream Dental and Straumann are partnering to strengthen the connection between Carestream Dental’s imaging portfolio and the Straumann digital ecosystem, reinforcing both companies’ open system philosophy. These new integrations will streamline case management and simplify workflows for implantology and restorative dentistry thanks to a direct connection between the Straumann AXS Platform, Straumann SIRIOS™ intraoral scanner and CS Imaging version 8 software,*** the hub that centralizes and displays a Carestream Dental user’s imaging data.
Soon, users will be able to link their Straumann SIRIOS™ intraoral scanner with the Carestream Dental imaging portfolio through IO Scanner Link. The integration between CS Imaging 8 and the Straumann AXS platform will also allow users to send CBCT volumes and scans from intraoral scanners directly to AXS. Once captured, scans can then be used, in both environments, for virtual implant planning, surgical guide design or sharing files with labs, enabling an efficient digital workflow.
