Flysorb sutures are composed of a copolymer made from 90% glycolide
and 10% lactic acid, coated with a Polyglactin 370 blend (30% glycolide,
70% lactic acid) to enhance flow and ease of use. The advanced
extrusion of the polyglactin molecule, combined with a proprietary
braiding and coating process, provides Flysorb sutures with excellent
tensile strength during critical healing periods, secure knot retention,
exceptional handling, and a predictable absorption profile.
Flysorb sutures progressively lose tensile strength and are fully absorbed
through hydrolysis.
Indications: Suitable for all oral surgery applications, particularly for tissue
grafting, resorbable membrane stabilization, as well as implant surgery
and periodontics.
Advantages: Low tissue reaction, excellent handling, strong knot security.
Absorption Timeline: Fully absorbed within 8–10 weeks.
Residual Tensile Strength: 75% at 14 days; 50% at 21 days.
