More expedient preparation with COOL-DIAMANT instruments
The premium BUSCH product in the diamond segment is the COOL-DIAMANT instrument with optimised coolant flow.
The outstanding grinding performance reduces the treatment time needed, thus benefiting the practitioner as well as the patient.
The many diagonal cooling grooves interrupt the grinding process up to 7 times per rotation. This provides additional support for the coolant spray and the removal chip.
The continuous diamond coating, i.e. even in the deeper grooves, ensures brilliant and easy grinding performance, facilitates removal thanks to the edge effect around the groove transitions and optimises the service life.
Finally, COOL-DIAMANT instruments are coated with pure gold. This fully covers the nickel bonding layer and enhaces tissue compatibility.
The COOL-DIAMANT range comprises 124 application-oriented variants in coarse, medium and fine diamond grit.
1SXM Carbide round bur
Clear view of everything!
Preserving as much healthy tooth substance as possible when repairing minor carious defects is the most important objective in modern dental care. This is only possible if the instruments used permit a gentle mode of operation without causing discomfort to the patient. The 1SXM carbide bur from BUSCH is such an instrument.
Firstly, the bur has a special cutting geometry which allows the user to work in the cavity with low vibrations and without stressing the patient. Secondly, its extremely slender neck permits a clearer view of the work area.
In this way, caries can be removed specifically and without damaging the tooth substance while minimizing the cavity opening and at the same time permitting a clear view of the excavation. In addition to the clear view the slim neck enables a rapid outflow of chips.
In addition to the standard RA version, a RA-long version is also available to provide clear access to deeper areas.
Universal crone cutters
Universal crown cutters for a variety of materials
True to our motto ‘One for (almost) all’, BUSCH offers universal carbide crown cutters with diamond cut. These are suitable for all metals as well as metal-ceramic restorations. Even hard alloys of non-precious metals can be cut effectively.
Advantages of the BUSCH diamond cut include exceptionally smooth running, secure guidance and a remarkable cutting speed.
All BUSCH carbide burs for dentistry are 100% tested for breaking strength.
Three working part lengths in cylindrical and conical shapes are available to meet individual demands. Available in sizes 010 and 012.
Bur bloc STERI-SAFEwave
STERI-SAFEwave – The innovative bur block with it’s wave design combines not only the possibility to carry FG and RA instruments
The BUSCH STERI-SAFEwave bur block made from medical resin has outstanding benefits for use, safety, and hygiene.
The unique wave design enables up to 14 FG and 12 RA instruments with varying insertion heights to be stored in the bur block at once. The instruments do not need to be secured with rubber rings and are completely accessible to ensure that there are no unwashed areas.
This optimal cleanability with pre-contaminated medical devices was validated and certified by an external institute.
The safety bar is locked closed during transport and reprocessing, preventing the instruments from falling out.
The medical resin can be disinfected and sterilized and is suitable for all relevant reprocessing measures in the practice.
If required, the user can label individually loaded STERI-SAFEwaves by using different coloured silicone strips, which simultaneously provide a non-slip grip on suitable surfaces.
Chairside Polishing of Zirconia and Ceramics
The BUSCH 2-step diamond-interspersed polishing system is specially designed for processing zirconia and silicate ceramics. TWIST polishers are used for precise polishing into the deep parts of fissures and interdental spaces.
The result achieved with this polisher is the same as with glazing and can therefore be implemented directly at the chairside and replace the final laboratory step. This saves both time and money.
ZIRAMANT instruments for processing of zirkonoxid
Effective processing of zirconium dioxide in dental practice
Zirconium dioxide, or zirconia for short, has the advantages of exceptional aesthetics, biocompatibility and stability. The latter puts grand demands on the rotating instruments when processing zirconia restorations.
BUSCH offers the power-cutting ZIRAMANT series for dental practice from its diamond instrument range for precisely these challenges. It is equipped with three different special and, above all, stable mixed-grain diamond coatings configured for zirconium oxide and various work steps:
From removal and trepanation of restorative zirconia (shaft ring blue/green), correction of zirconia abutments (shaft ring blue/blue), to fine correction during zirconia integration (shaft ring red/red).
In addition to the three aforementioned grits, eleven ZIRAMANT instruments are available in various shapes.
KERA all-ceramic tools
Filigree all-ceramic cutters
Modern, innovative, aesthetic and high-performance; these are the key attributes of the eight new BUSCH KERA all-ceramic tools made of high-performance ceramic.
This ceramic boasts exceptional hardness and fracture toughness. An operating weight which is up to 60% less compared to carbide cutters tangibly changes the milling behaviour for the user. And it goes without saying that these ceramic tools can be fully disinfected and sterilised.
Application advantages are evident in terms of processing acrylics and zirconia blanks. Chairside, they are an aesthetic eye-catcher when processing splints or plastic prostheses in the treatment room.
The medium (X) and fine X-cut (FX) are used for shaping and precision milling, the effective GQSR cut guarantees excellent results when processing non-hardening acrylics.
Carbide cutters for left handers
Work ergonomically with left-handed cutters
BUSCH has introduced 6 left-handed cutters into its range in order to offer left-handed users the same easy-to-use and convenient carbide cutters as right-handed users. Three figures, two ISO sizes and two types of cut (medium X-cut and fine FX-cut) are available.
With these cutters, a left-handed user can work with anti-clockwise rotation in the direction of the body. This makes ergonomic and clear working possible.
The medium X-cut is used in the dental laboratory to process synthetic casts, prosthesis and tray plastics as well as metals. The cutters with the fine FX-cut are used for subsequent precision processing.
To ensure the left-handed cutters can be easily identified, they bear an "L" in the figure designation in addition to the BUSCH logo. The fine FX-cut is also indicated by a red ring on the shaft.

Diamond interspersed abrasive tools
Diamond interspersed abrasive tools for zirconia and ceramics in dental technology – for use without water cooling
Zirconia and ceramics have the advantage of particularly attractive aesthetics, biocompatibility and stability. The characteristics of zirconia and ceramics do, however, involve the disadvantage that they are difficult to process and place particular demands on the rotating instruments. The primary objective in the preparation of zirconia and ceramic restorations is that the restoration structure does not suffer any damage that would lead to the premature failure of the restoration.
Zirconia and ceramic restorations are therefore generally processed using water cooling in order to prevent critical temperature development. With the new synthetically bonded and diamond interspersed abrasive tools from BUSCH, it is not necessary to use water cooling. This has the considerable benefit that there will be no disruptive spray mist that obstructs vision or covers the entire work area with water during the preparation of such restorations.
It is therefore not necessary to work in an appropriate collection container or under consistent liquid aspiration, and the dental technician will have a full and unobstructed view of the restoration being prepared at all times.
Due to a special synthetic bonding procedure, there are no critical temperature peaks when the abrasive tools are used that would threaten the restoration structure. There are three different shapes available, each with two different grit sizes (coarse/green and medium/pink).
