Nice and simple: the first complete dental-specific solution for efficient, eco-friendly 3D model printing
Whether it be for planning, working or aligner models: modern FDM/FFF technology is becoming more and more precise, powerful, and economical, and therefore more interesting for producing models in orthodontics. With SIMPLEX, the company Renfert is now bringing an innovative filament printer system to the market that is not just suitable for experts, but was primarily designed also for beginners with no prior knowledge. For the first time ever, the system consists of a modified filament printer, dental-specific slicer software with parameters that are already stored, and resource-saving filaments – for even more simplicity, reliability and environmental friendliness in the additive printing process. Thanks to the perfectly coordinated components and the Plug ‘n’ Print process, SIMPLEX makes it straightforward for any interested user to get started with digital model production.
Complicated is so yesterday – today is simple: the innovative SIMPLEX 3D filament printer system from the technology specialists from Lake Constance was developed especially for dental-specific requirements. With the complete package of 3D filament printer, dental-specific slicer software and high-quality special filaments, the entire spectrum of orthodontic model fabrication can be handled in a controlled way. The special feature is the pre-installed pre-sets for various models. Once the print bed has been loaded virtually, the user can carry out 3D filament printing of diagnostic, working, or aligner models simply and reliably using Plug ‘n’ Print; the optimized slicer software selects the appropriate parameters.
The result is a controlled manufacturing process and detailed print results
Thanks to the high dimensional accuracy of = 50 µm that can be achieved by the update-capable filament printer, and the “Filament Monitoring System”, the user always receives a precise, reproducible result. The low-noise production process (47-48 dB), the intuitive touchscreen navigation and the closed building chamber with lockable door and removable cover with integrated fan also make the unit a convenient and safe companion for daily model production in the field of orthodontics.
Recyclable, eco-friendly and cost-effective: the dental-specific SIMPLEX filaments are also especially convincing, specifically when compared to other printing processes such as resin-based systems with DLP/SLA technology. The colorfast and UV-resistant materials are manufactured in Germany and designed for four defined areas of application. They are not only harmless to health and biologically safe (no hazardous waste!) but can also be used directly after printing – no chemical post-processing, cleaning, or light polymerization is necessary! At the same time, the four special filaments with their high layer and print bed adhesion, as well as constant dimensional accuracy, have excellent mechanical and physical printing properties:
SIMPLEX study model is a white bio-filament with a high level of detail reproduction that is completely free of irritant chemicals. It is especially suitable for producing planning and diagnostic models.
SIMPLEX working model is a viridian green bio-filament with a high level of detail reproduction – for accurate fitting working models.
SIMPLEX aligner model is a white special filament. It is temperature-resistant and dimensionally stable up to 230°C, and therefore ideally suited for aligner production.
SIMPLEX multi-use model is a special white filament with a high hard gypsum content for a natural surface effect. It can be optimally worked with rotary instruments or a scalpel.
Orthodontic model production with Plug ‘n’ Print and special filaments
In a nutshell: SIMPLEX by Renfert is the first dental-specific all-in-one 3D filament printer system with Plug ‘n’ Print and specified filaments on the market. It is a clean and cost-efficient solution for producing precise planning, working and aligner models for print-savvy users in the orthodontic sector, but also for those who consider themselves novices in the digital world – designed for fewer application steps and chemicals and more process reliability and sustainability in the field of orthodontic model production.
