smart optics expands its Vinyl series with a high-end scanner

BOCHUM – After more than a year of waiting, anxiety and postponement, the 39th International Dental Show (IDS) will be inaugurated on the 22nd September 2021 in Cologne. In Hall 3.2, Stand B010 C011X, the Bochum-based company smart optics will introduce its new high-end scanner Vinyl UXD(User Experience Dual). This dental 3D scanner expands the already extremely successfulVinyl series.

What is special about the Vinyl UXD
The new model features an optimized design and improved speed. The new UX module, consisting of two 1.0 megapixel cameras and a projector, provides a user experience of a completely new kind. The new features also include a new 3D sensor, equipped with two 3.2 megapixel cameras. Thus, a deeper detection of the interdental spaces is possible, guaranteeing, of course, the 4 µm accuracy required by ISO 12836. A bigger system plate simplifies the insertion of several large articulators. In addition to the usual software
operation via PC, the Vinyl UXD offers a new, simple and time-saving control option, becausecontrol elements are projected into the interior of the scanner and can be activated by hand gestures. For example, a scan can be started without access from the PC and stumps to be removed are identified by illuminating them. In short: The UXD marks the beginning of the next
generation of scanners and paves the way for ingenious and practical features.

Further advantages for new and existing customers
As of the IDS 2021, there will no longer be any chargeable upgrades for dental Scan scanning software. When purchasing a scanner of the Vinyl
