Z4 – Milling machine for wet processing of blocks for Same-Day Dentistry

The Z4 is ideal for same-day dentistry: The digital workflow not only enables faster and more pleasant treatments, but also the provision of more patients with first-class dental restorations in just one session. With the integrated workflow of the Z4, everything from the intraoral scanner to the milling machine runs under a single user interface. This is possible with the TRIOS Design Studio programs from 3Shape as well as exocad ChairsideCAD. The nesting is done in CAD, then the data is transferred to the Z4 through intelligent integration. From then on, it's one step: insert the block, press start on the touch display – and the restoration is fabricated in just a few minutes.

The Z4 has a repetition accuracy of an incredible 3 μm. This ensures that restorations will always fit perfectly. With this precision, screw channels for hybrid implant restorations can also be drilled into ceramic blocks without any relevant difference in strength from the so-called meso blocks already pre-drilled. This means reduced material costs and lower inventory.
