Rubber Dam Clamps

Dental rubber dam clamps are essential tools used in dentistry to secure a rubber dam to the teeth. Rubber dams are used to isolate teeth during certain procedures, such as fillings, root canals, or crown preparations, to keep the tooth clean and dry.

The bow: This is the curved part of the clamp that goes around the tooth.
The jaws: These are the parts of the clamp that grip the tooth.    

Here are some common types of dental rubber dam clamps:

Anterior clamps: These clamps are used on the front teeth. They are typically smaller and have a narrower bow than posterior clamps.    
Posterior clamps: These clamps are used on the back teeth. They are typically larger and have a wider bow than anterior clamps.    
Winged clamps: These clamps have small wings that help to hold the rubber dam in place.    
Wingless clamps: These clamps do not have wings.    
Universal clamps: These clamps can be used on a variety of tooth types and sizes.    
Specialty clamps: These clamps are designed for specific situations, such as partially erupted teeth or teeth with unusual shapes.
