CGM PRAXISARCHIV features a completely redesigned user interface that sets new standards in user-friendliness and efficiency. The system supports usage on iPads as well as traditional applications in combination with practice management systems and document management. A new addition is the integrated full-text recognition, which enables keyword searches in scanned documents and images. For long-term users, this opens up new opportunities for accessing archived documents.

The close integration with the electronic patient records allows for the automatic archiving of every printed document in the background, similar to a carbon copy. In addition to a preview of each document, the patient records in CGM Z1 and CGM Z1.PRO offer numerous functions. The Z1 system documents the corresponding entries in the patient records relevant to each archived document, such as an "RÖ2" for periapical radiographs, an "RÖ5" for bitewing radiographs, or "Photo" for intraoral images taken with a camera. Values for the X-ray control book can also be transferred, or documents from material and hygiene management can be archived.
