In order that inflamed gums can heal without complications, good oral hygiene, dental care and therapeutic support in the dental practice are required. With the PeriCare® system, Merz Dental offers products for treatment in the practice and for supportive treatment and prophylaxis at home.

PeriCare® gum gel - with a unique formulation - is used for the supportive treatment of sensitivities or injuries to the oral mucosa and gums as well as aphthous ulcers. The contained hyaluronic acid (0.5%) forms a protective layer over the inflamed area and promotes faster wound healing. The mucoadhesive formulation ensures a long-lasting effect on the inflamed tissue. Other ingredients support the natural regeneration and provide a rapid local anaesthetic effect and alleviate the pain associated with the inflammation.

As a supplement to daily oral hygiene, PeriCare® mouth rinse helps to protect against bacterial contamination even in areas that are difficult to reach. The antibacterial agent octenidine supports the natural regeneration of lesions, gingivitis and periodontitis. PeriCare® mouth rinse is free from chlorhexidine and alcohol and does not discolour the teeth.

PeriCare® Pocket-X® gel with hyaluronic acid (0.8%) and octenidine (HCl 0.625%) developed for the professional use promotes the healing of the oral mucosa and inhibits bacterial colonization in the periodontal pocket. Particularly suitable for use after root surface debridement (RSD) or routine periodontal maintenance therapy. The liquid applied gel adheres excellently to the gingival pocket and physically prevents bacteria from re-penetrating into the gingival pocket.

With the particularly skin-friendly and pleasant care formula - free of dyes and fragrances - the MDprotect hand disinfection reliably protects and cares all year round. The additive dexpanthenol increases the moisture retention and elasticity of the skin and thus strengthens the natural protective function against harmful environmental influences. Suitable for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection, MDprotect is broadly effective even after short exposure times, including bactericidal, yeasticidal, tuberculocidal – as well as limited virucidal PLUS effective. It not only inactivates enveloped viruses, but also non-enveloped viruses (adeno-, rota- and noroviruses).

The Mucasept® Plus and PremEco® care hand disinfections are also suitable for surgical and hygienic hand disinfection, have limited virucidal PLUS effectiveness and are very skin-friendly. The contactless dispenser system is ideally suited for the daily cleaning and disinfection routine in the practice or for use at entrance areas for infection prophylaxis.

In the area of surface disinfection, depending on requirements, there is a choice between various ready-to-use solutions for rapid disinfection (medical products and surfaces), high-quality fleece wipe systems or ready-to-use disinfection wipes, e.g. PremEco® Wipes. The QAV-free disinfectant wipes are made of 100% biodegradable cellulose material and are quick and effective. All disinfectants are VAH certified / appraised and listed in the IHO disinfectant list.

The BDCreator® PLUS is the software solution for creating digital full dentures. With the latest update, it is possible to create single arch full dentures and thus expand the area of application of the milled full denture many times over.

The software supports the CAD design of the upper and lower full dentures and the selection of the correct row of teeth. With the fully adjustable articulator, the movement paths can be determined and the static and dynamic contacts can be represented virtually. Occlusal adjustments are prepared by the BDCreator® PLUS software for consideration in a milling strategy and can thus be implemented directly in the milling process of the full denture.

The individual aesthetic design of anterior teeth is also possible with the next software update (planned for the end of 2021). Anterior teeth can then be set up individually in the BDCreator® PLUS. The specially developed BDLoad® XP is available for implementation. With the BDLoad® XP, the pockets for the teeth are only milled where it makes sense - in the anterior tooth area, in order to also meet aesthetic requirements with a customizable set-up. The occluding set-up of the posterior teeth is still given with the BDLoad® XP. Thus, the attachment of the teeth can be reduced to a necessary extent.

With the BDCreator® PLUS Add-On all possibilities of work preparation are open. The digital workflow then begins with the planning of work preparation aids and simplifies the usual processes for practitioners and technicians.
