SURGISPON® Dental - Dental Hemostatic/Haemostatic Sponge
To achieve immediate haemostasis in Extractions, Oral Bone & Soft Tissue Surgery
SURGISPON® is a sterile hemostatic absorbable gelatin sponge made of pure pharmaceutical gelatine (lyophilized hydrolyzed collagen) foam, which gives it a uniform porosity & reacts neutrally. The dried foam is cut, packaged and sterilised using gamma radiation. SURGISPON® is immediately available for use in the operating theatre and does not require any sterilisation by dry heat or autoclaving.
FEATURES
-Made from highly purified pharmaceutical grade gelatin
-It has uniform porosity and reacts neutrally
-Non-toxic, Non-allergenic, Non-immunogenic, Non-pyrogenic
-Completely absorbable within 4 weeks
-Absorbs approximately 45 times of its own weight of blood
-Gamma sterilized & ready to use
-Can be used dry or saturated with sterile saline solution
HOW to use SURGISPON® DENTAL
Being pH-neutral, it can be used in combination with antibiotics, thrombin, chemotherapeutics without reduction of
the sponge's haemostatic effect. Carefully read applicable instructions for use (IFU) before application.
KEY BENEFITS
Quick & reliable haemostasis
-Eliminates the risk of secondary bleeding
-Supports stable blood clot formation
-Allows antibiotic addition for high-risk patients (e.g., smokers, diabetics, immunocompromised)
Mitigation of alveolar ridge resorption
-Maintains socket shape and vestibular lamella
-Ensures alveolar volume stability
Stable bone regeneration
-A stable bony implant site is formed in a short period
-More predictable long-term success
Enhanced user & patient comfort
-User-friendly: easy to trim and manipulate
-Simplified treatment steps
-Cost effective haemostatic solution
APPLICATION AREAS:
-Tooth Extractions
-Carrier Matrix for Bone Regeneration
-Oral bone and soft tissue surgery
-Scaffold for Growth Factor Release
-Enuclation Of Cysts
-Control Of Profuse
