R&R offers two universal coating materials for phosphate and ethyl-silicate investments as a face-coat for plastic/wax patterns. These universal coating materials also provide an additional coating technique that is designed to be used as a wash-coat for refractory models made in a specific hydrocolloid duplicating material. When used during the refractory model and investing steps, these protective coats they help ensure optimal surface smoothness, thereby improving accuracy and minimizing finishing time and labor.

While All Purpose Protective Coat is a pre-made slurry, Protective Coat Powder & Liquid is a two-part system that you to customize the mix to your preferred thickness. Protective Coat Powder & Liquid is recommended when using Perflex® duplicating materials.
