Instruction:
Tooth preparation:-
Follow usual procedures for tooth preparation. Exposed dentil must be protected by a calcium hydroxide preparation. Glass ionomer or another suitable base can be used to cover the preparation. At the placement visit. Remove temporary restorations. Isolate and clean the teeth of any traces of temporary cement.
.Etching Surfaces
Apply etchant to the surfaces of teeth using a cotton pellet or brush. Allow to remain for 15seconds. On primary teeth and teeth high in fluorid, a 90-120seconds etch is advised. Glass Ionomer base, if used, should not be etched for more than 15seconds. Flush area completely for 20seconds. Do not allow patient to risne entire mouth or permit saliva to touch etched enamel surface.Air dry completely with an oil/moisture-free air source.
Surfaces of teeth should have a dull, white, frosted appearance. If not, repeat process allowing etchant to remain on teeth for an additional 15 seconds.
Cement mixing and application.When using various shades, select the desired shade of the light cure Base Cement.Dispense equal amount of Base and Catalyst on a mixing pad. Both Base and Catalyst should be immediately closed and kept in a cool , dark place.Mix the Base and Catalyst for 10seconds to get a uniform mix.Coat the prepared teeth and restoration completely with the mixture.Coat the prepared teeth and restoration completely with the mixture.Seat the restoration with a slightly rocking motion.Remove excess cement with a brush wetted with the Bonding Resin, leaving a small strand of cement at the margin.Cure the cement with a wide diameter light for 40-60seconds each on occlusal surface, proximal and gingival margins. Light transmitting wedges will help in gingival curing.Check the margins. Finish abd polish the restoration carefully in appropriate manner. Adjust the occlusion, if necessary.
