Fluoride-containing varnish for tooth desensitisation

Sensitive teeth are a widespread problem for a large number of people. Usually, the condition causes only transient pain which patients do not always report to their dentists. Hypersensitivity is mainly caused by exposed dentinal tubules. Therefore, the aim of treatment is to seal these tubules. Profluorid Varnish is a fluoride-containing varnish to effectively seal dentinal tubules exposed on the necks of teeth or after cavity preparation.

VOCO Profluorid Varnish is ideally suited for the treatment of hypersensitive teeth as well as sensitive root surfaces. Treatment with VPV is also a sensible precaution following professional cleaning and polishing, in order to replenish any depleted calcium fluoride depots. The fluoride content is 22,600 ppm fluoride (≙ 5 % sodium fluoride). A good cariostatic effect can be ascribed to the xylitol that is also included. The varnish dries in seconds - at the same time it feels natural and has a pleasant taste so that it can be left on the teeth for continuous fluoride release.

With a choice of flavours, you can offer even more service and respond individually to your patients: bubble gum and cherry – aimed especially at children and younger patients, mint – a classic, particularly for adults, caramel as a creamy flavour, melon and pina colada – to

provide a slightly more exotic option and the fruity tingly freshness of cola lime.

VOCO Profluorid Varnish is available in the hygienic SingleDose and the 10 ml tube. Advantages of the SingleDose: it is designed for a single use only – each patient receives their very own product. This is an easy way to avoid the risk of cross-contamination as well as other potential for contamination. Furthermore, the material can be applied quickly and easily from the handy packaging – ideally by using the enclosed brush.
