The XP Double Gracey™ Set from American Eagle replaces a whole range of standard Gracey curettes with just two instruments. These are optimally manoeuvrable between mesial and distal surfaces, do not need to be rotated or exchanged and treat all teeth equally effectively. Gracey curettes are used for specific surfaces, which is why many different versions have been necessary up to now in order to cover the entire therapeutic spectrum. The Double Gracey Anterior, however, combines the Gracey 1-2 for anterior teeth with the Gracey 7-8 for buccal and oral surfaces of premolars and molars. The Double Gracey Posterior combines the Gracey 15-16 mesial with the Gracey 13-14 distal. Therefore, these instruments can be used to switch continuously from one area to the next.
The collection includes two double Graceys in normal size. In addition, there are Access/Mini versions that facilitate access to deep and narrow pockets as well as furcations. This is ensured by blades that are 50 percent shorter and a shaft that is 3 mm longer than in the standard format.
The development of the revolutionary Double Graceys was only made possible by American Eagle's patented XP Technology®, which makes re-sharpening unnecessary. Thanks to XP, the intricately designed cutting edge remains intact throughout the lifetime of the instruments.
