American Eagle Titanium implant instruments | Exhibitor on the IDS - International Dental Show 2023

American Eagle Titanium implant instruments

Implants are a high-quality tooth replacement and increase the quality of life. However, mucositis or peri-implantitis develops in up to 50 percent of all patients and jeopardises the success of treatment or even the loss of the implant. The adjacent tissue only remains healthy with optimal oral hygiene, which is why American Eagle now presents a collection of new instruments for professional implant cleaning. Clean, smooth surfaces are significantly less susceptible to infection-causing biofilm. With the scalers and curettes from American Eagle, soft and mineralised deposits are removed thoroughly and, above all, gently, because the instruments are made of medical titanium, currently the most biocompatible material for implants. This special titanium is softer than the implant, so its surface remains intact. Other curettes often leave residues, which in turn promote the development of peri-implant diseases.
All four American Eagle instruments have rounded working ends to prevent scratches in the implant. The practitioner benefits from lightweight, ergonomic handles made of EagleLite® plastic, which noticeably relieves the strain on the hands. The 204S scaler is designed for the molar region and is highly angled to facilitate access. The N 128/Long 5 combination is a modified sickle scaler plus universal anterior curette for the maxilla and mandible. The Nebraska 128 tip is ideal for small, narrow areas and the periphery of the implant abutment. The Langer 3-4 universal curette mimics the shaft angle of the Gracey 13-14, a good choice for treating dentures in the molar or premolar region. A Barnhart 5-6 universal curette is also available.
