Modern surgical needles are particularly hard placing increased demands on the resilience of the instruments. The needle holders from American Eagle are reinforced with Tungsten Carbide inserts. This sintered material shows only minimal wear and tear and withstands all common types of reprocessing. The inserts are finely serrated to correctly and precisely align and securely hold/fix the needles.

No sharp edges: Especially on the hinge and on the sides

Due to the Tungsten Carbide hard metal inserts, the thread can slide unhindered over the instrument - this reliably prevents the risk of accidental detachment during the suture itself or when knotting.
